Experimental graphic design by Preston Jhun

01 / PROBLEM

Tell my own stories.

I love telling stories, including my own. Instagram became a space to hone visual-design skills through personal expression rather than repeating one fixed style.

Each post explores its own theme, trend, idea, or concept while maintaining consistency within that individual piece.

02 / IDEATION

Try something unfamiliar.

I emphasize trying new things with each post and pushing outside my comfort zone. The practice gives me room to explore how composition, imagery, and effects can express a particular idea.

Accessibility also matters to me: I have taught people in college who had never designed before how to create effects and improve their work. I believe design should be open to everyone.

03 / IMPLEMENTATION

Build, experiment, share.

The work combines deliberate visual choices with experimentation. The pieces shown here include the still and motion versions of Take more pictures, alongside earlier graphic work.

These examples belong to an ongoing personal practice rather than a single client brief or standardized production process.

04 / OUTCOME

An evolving visual voice.

The output represents my loud, confident, and friendly personality: intentional work that explores boundaries and new techniques.

The archive continues to evolve, alongside a commitment to helping other people learn to design.
